The president of the United States, Donald Trump , has sent a letter to the president of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi , criticizing the impeachment process in Congress. I am writing to express my most strident and powerful protest in opposition to the partisan crusade of political judgment that is being promoted by Democrats in the House of Representatives. This process represents an unconstitutional and unprecedented abuse of power by Democratic lawmakers, one without equal in two and a half centuries of American legislative history.
The imputations for a political trial presented by the commission of legal processes are not recognizable under any standard of constitutional theories or interpretations, nor jurisprudence. They do not include crime, wrongdoing or any offense. They have lowered their importance to the horrendous word of "impeachment"!
By continuing their invalid procedure, they are violating their oaths, breaking their loyalty to the Constitution and declaring an open war against American democracy . They dare to invoke the names of the founding fathers in their maneuver to annul the elections when their spiteful actions show an unlimited contempt for the founding process of the United States and while their atrocious behavior threatens to destroy just what the founding fathers dedicated their lives to build.
Worse than the offense against the founding fathers is the affront to faithful Americans by repeatedly saying "I pray for the president," knowing that their expression is not true unless they say it with negative connotation. What you are doing is terrible, but you will have to live with it and not me!
This first charge, of "abuse of power," is an insincere invention,without foundations, without merit, product of your imagination. They know that I had a completely innocent conversation with the president of Ukraine. Then I had a second conversation that has been incorrectly cited, misrepresented and misrepresented fraudulently.

You are the ones who interfere with the American elections. You are the ones who undermine American democracy. You are the ones who obstruct justice. You are the ones who afflict our republic with pain and suffering for personal, political and partisan benefits.
Before the prosecution farce,

This is nothing more than an attempt at an illegal and partisan coup that, if we rely on recent popular sentiment, will fail at the polls.
Not only are they behind me, like the president, but behind the entire Republican Party. But, due to this colossal injustice, our party is more united than it had ever been.
History will judge them harshly as they proceed with this prosecution scam. His legacy will be to convert the House of Representatives, a respected legislative body, into the starry Chamber of slander for partisan persecution.
Possibly the biggest insult is that they are solemnly, falsely. Apparently they respect the American people so little that they expect them to believe that they are treating this process solemnly, reluctantly, quietly. No intelligent person believes them. From the moment I won the election, the Democratic Party has been experiencing the fever of prosecution. There is no reluctance. This is not a serious matter. They are making fun of the process of political judgment and not even hiding their hatred towards me, towards the Republican Party and towards tens of millions of patriotic Americans. Voters are sagacious and go beyond this dangerous, empty and emaciated game they are playing.
I have no doubt that the American people will make you and all the Democrats accountable in the next 2020 elections. They will not soon forget your perversion of justice and your abuses of power.
There is so much that needs to be done to improve the lives of our citizens. It is time for you and the ultra-partisan Democrats of Congress to immediately cease this fantasy of prosecuting and return to work for the American people. I have no expectation that they will, so I write this letter for historical record and to express my thoughts permanently and indelibly.
In 100 years, when people remember this matter, I want them to understand it and learn from it so that it never happens again to a president.
