Let’s start with the fact that deceit favours the deceivers at the expense of the deceived. Politically, this translates to deceit favouring tyranny over liberty. This is true because no clear-thinking individual would ever vote for honest evil.
By blaming guns for shooting deaths, politicians and the media deliberately eliminate people from the causal equation. The result is the immoral and deceitful conflation of law-abiding gun owners with criminal gun users. Gun control laws apply only to law-abiding citizens, for obvious reasons, and will never prevent criminals from doing their thing. There is zero honour in a law that simultaneously makes good people less safe while making it safer for bad people to engage in criminal behaviour. None. |
